INTRECCINCANTIERE 9: THE WINNERS

INTRECCINCANTIERE 9: THE WINNERS

The ninth edition of Intreccincantiere, the competition for young designers conceived by Manifattura di Domodossola and created in collaboration with Lineapelle and the Banco BPM Group, has come to an end.

Every year under 30 years’ students from all over the world challenge each other with twists and turns: the goal is to create a captivating and innovative product with the products of the Polli family company. Considering the level reached by the contest, for the first time a theme has been introduced that made everything even more challenging: the prototypes created had to be inspired by the Bagatti Valsecchi House Museum located in the heart of Milan.

The fruit of the partnership between the Piedmontese Manufacture and the Milanese Museum has given life to the renovation of the Bagatti Valsecchi shop, now transformed into a real boutique where it is possible to buy Athison products, the leather goods brand of Manifattura di Domodossola. The partnership between fashion and art has thus been consolidated in Intreccincantiere 9, giving students the opportunity to unleash all their creativity.

The jury this year was made up of: Lucilla Agosti (actress and host), Mauro Galligari (fashion entrerpreneur), Susanna Grigorian (fashion and cool hunter), Carlos Osman (fashion designer and consultant), Letizia Schätzinger (journalist and stylist), Andrea Amadei (sommelier and radio and television author), Camilla Bagatti Valsecchi (president of the Bagatti Valsecchi Foundation), Alon Siman Tov (fashion designer and consultant), Beatrice Spediacci (author, journalist and host), Mario Cavallaro (stylist and fashion art director) and Arman Avetikyan (fashion designer). The jurors had the opportunity to view all the works exhibited at Spazio Lineapelle on 7 and 8 June and decreed a winner for the four categories in the competition:

Interior Design Award: Ludovica Veneziano (Accademia Euromediterranea Harim, Catania).

Footwear Award: Alessia De Mattia (Accademia IUAD, Naples).

Clothing Award: Jiei Nomoto (Tokyo Mode Gakuen, Tokyo).

Leather Goods Award: Viviana Buhne and Margherita de Gregorio (Accademia IUAD, Naples).

The next appointment will be in October for the Award Ceremony at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, an occasion in which, in addition to the winners, the 110 years of Manifattura di Domodossola will be also celebrated.
